So it is a day for dupes. I fell in love with the leather pouch (clutch) from AA. For $50.00 being the mid-range for one, it's a bit out of my price reach for such a simple style. I do adore the different colors available and the hard metal zipper, that kind of makes it industrial looking. So what is a girl like me to do, I just had to have one (ha ha). I went to my local fabric remnant store and bought a yard of white pleather and a yard of faux tan suede. Since I picked out a white pleather I wanted a contrasting colored zipper. I think that it turned out well for my first one. I also lined it with a matching blue floral cotton fabric on the inside. I noticed that the reverse of the pleather was a felt material that would just get nasty with wear.
I received my F21 package in the mail yesterday. These are the suede booties that I recently purchased and posted here. Beyond thrilled that they are actually suede and not a synthetic. I should really spray treat them before I wear them. It would not do if I thrash them on the first day. I know that this outfit isn't really spectacular but to be honest I really don't want to step out of the house today. I would have been perfectly comfortable wearing my p.j.'s in front of the computer all day. (Sigh) to bad my life isn't that luxurious.
What I'm wearing:
- Grey off the shoulder sweatshirt, necklace, & booties- F21
- Denim shorts- OldNavy
i really, really want one of those pouches! saw them in browns during christmas...love all the bright colors i'm seeing them in now. not sure if i'd want to pay the price, too. if only i could sew zippers...i'd be on it like you!!

oomph- I know right? I taught myself how to sew zippers. It's all in the mistakes. Eventually it works out :)This is just my prototype. They can only get better. My Bf thought it was real leather, hee hee that was a good compliment.

Senorita- The original leather clutches are from American Apparel. I just found them to be such an easy and forgiving shape to hold practically everything :) Since the original is not in my budget I had to make a similar one for myself. Thanks for visiting me and leaving a comment.

Claire- That sweatshirt hits all the right buttons for me- grey, off the shoulder, and over sized. I always pack it for vacay and at least wear it once every laundry cycle. I'll be so bummed when it starts to wear out. I just love those boots, and they are comfy too. F21 is surprising me with their selection of shoes now. I need to go on a shopping diet :)
