I Will Take One...Please and Thank You

For the love of all things feathered. I want this necklace. It's in my favorite color combination of black and gold. That way I can put a check mark on my list next to: Feathered Necklaces in peach, grey and black. I'm just kidding I don't have a running check list of things I want to buy. Though that wouldn't be such a bad thought to put into practice. Maybe that can help curb my spending? Anyhoo, you may purchase this necklace at Forever21. The best part this necklace is only $5.80 and just hit the site today.

You may click on the picture above to be directed to details and purchasing. Happy Shopping!

As Promised

As promised here is a peek of what I go through to figure out what I'm wearing. Normally it doesn't go this easily. I run the gambit of several changes from skirts, dresses, jeans, shorts, rompers. Maybe my problem is the fact that I have too much to chose from.

As you can tell it's quite embarrassing for me to own such lovely things and can't display them as I would like to. It has reached the point where I can't even find some of the things I'm looking for. Today I was foiled once again and the clearing and organizing is being held off another day. My mom took the day off from work and wanted to spend time with me. (Collectively....awwee) Here are the tops that I has tried on and switched out of.

A chiffon floral blouse. Oh so pretty. I just couldn't find any of my tanks to wear underneath.

This could have been a winner. I didn't have the time to iron, besides you've seen it before here.

Here is my 3rd choice. It would have been a huge change. I wouldn't wear the shorts I previously have choosen. I would have worn this tank with grey leggings, denim cutoffs, or jeans. It's super cute, no?

This is me when I've finally found what I've been searching for. Don't mind the wet hair and no make-up, I know it can be disturbing. I just had enough time to run goop in my hair and add minimal makeup to my face before my mom knocked on my door.

The result! White short shorts from OldNavy, tomato red pin tuck tank- Forever21, and of course my Dany's from Jessica Simpson.

This oversize leatherette clutch was also a F21 purchase and the turquoise ring is hand made by moi.

There you have it. A complete run down of how I get dressed in the morning, well at least what happened this morning (:

Pick of the Day: A'GACI

Large Square Weave Tote Straw Bag $25.50
Challis Surplus Belted Kimono $23.50
Genuine Leather Belted Tye-Dye Dress $46.50
Hi Lo Challis Dress With Rope Belt $38.50
Ombre Dolman Dress With Front Zipper $41.50

I think that my picks today share a common element or two. I'm really liking the cinched waist with matching belts and the easy of the garments. No fuss no muss. The basket weave tote seems to be a must have from occasions at the beach, to a bridal party (tis the season).

A'GACI has been under my radar for sometime. Today was the first that I browsed through their boutique section. It a nice surprise to find these dresses, amazing over sized tops, ruffled tanks, and peasant blouses.

You may click on the item detail and it will link you to the site.

Give Me Some Cat Power

Cat Power- Nude As the News

Good morning! Yay, it's the end of the work week. Where did the time go? I have yet to organize my closet space, or post anymore OOTD. I really need to get back into the habit of taking photos. It's not only that. I think those two things go hand in hand. I'm not wearing what I want because it's too hard to find what I'm looking for. You've heard me talking about my closet for some time now and I think you should see what I go through everyday. That will be in an upcoming post today so we can share in my embarrassment of being a disorganized clothes horse. Till then I wish you a great day and a wonderful weekend to come.

Pick of the Day: Back to the Basics w/F21

Tie Dye Woven Dress $22.90
Woven Peasant Top $19.90
Tiered Prairie Skirt $22.80
Chantilly Lace Dress $29.80
Stefanie Spring Wedges $27.80
Leatherette Tassel Necklace $8.80
Faceted Cocktail Ring $2.80

O.k. readers. Keeping up with this blog isn't that hard really. I enjoy browsing sites and finding goodies to share with you. It isn't something that is out of the norm for me, I enjoy "window shopping". My family and friends have always wanted to rummage through my closet. This blog gives me the opportunity to "shop" with them and with you.

I'm really jonesing for the ring above. I know that sounds insane considering the amount of costume jewelry I already own. Really, there will always be a soft spot in my heart for a plastic jumbo ring. Remember those rainbow ones when we were younger?

Oh do you like the blanks I chose? Imagine all the different outfits you can put together with the peasant top or the prairie skirt. Now the tie-dye has popped up, hee hee. The woven dress can be used as a belted mini or a loose flowing tunic, how about as a cover up to a swimsuit. Are you like me and don't own a lace dress yet? The one above is sweet enough for day time wear and the hem line is short enough for a dinner out. By now I just slapped the wedges in. I think that a neutral wedge can see you through a lot of miles this season. I know mine have been going strong for 3 seasons now. I like the basket weave detail and the t-strap on the ones above.

So there you have it. I hoped that you enjoyed some window shopping with me. I think that I'll hold out on the ring. It will be silly to ship just a ring when the cost would be more than the item is worth. You guys, I'm not buying up everything I post. That just isn't feasible for me. I will share what I do purchase and how I incorporate it into my existing wardrobe. So thank you again for reading and the lovely comments you leave behind.

Ricochet

Good Morning! I think this just might be a regular thing for me, waking up with a song in my head. Maybe it predicts what my day will be like. Or maybe it's just reflects the mood I'm in and the way I see my day will go. Either way they are always songs that I don't mind if they get stuck in repeat. I hope you enjoy "Ricochet" by Shiny Toy Guns.

It's Official...

I am also including an agate ring in with the GiveAway goodies. Yesterday I made one for myself and absolutely fell in love with it. The pictures don't quite pick up the hue of the ring. The color is like a milky light grey/blue. Reminds me of the color of natural ice, an iceberg. The stone isn't flat but faceted and is 35mm long. The size of the ring is close to a 6.5 - 7. Since it's hand made it's hard for me to get it accurate. I'm in no way a professional, it's just a hobby for me. Hope you like the "extra" I'm adding to the GiveAway. Good luck to all that entered. If you haven't done so yet you may click on the image on the top right hand column that links to the GiveAway post.

New Craft & Book

I just received my new Bram Stoker's Dracula in the post. Super excited, as I have loved all versions of the story in films. Now I get to enjoy it with my imagination wild at work. I have been trying to keep up on the classic novels being re-released by Penguin publishers in this beautiful cloth bound way. If you want to see the rest of my collection you may see them here and here.

Secretly (o.k. maybe not so secretly) I have been dying for a natural stone ring. As crafty as I am, I do say so myself. I own everything I needed all ready. So today I put together a natural agate ring. It turned out so pretty, I was thinking of making one for each of the moms in my life.

Wave of Mutilation

Good Morning everyone. On most days I wake up with a song in my head or a tune in my heart. The Pixies "Wave of Mutilation" is not a bad one to start off with today. You'll laugh, but it's one of my favorite songs to sing to on the game Rock Band.

Here are the lyrics so you too can sing along:

cease to resist, giving my goodbye
drive my car into the ocean
you'll think i'm dead, but i sail away
on a wave of mutilation
a wave
wave

i've kissed mermaids, rode the el nino
walked the sand with the crustaceans
could find my way to mariana
on a wave of mutilation,
wave of mutilation
wave of mutilation
wave

wave of mutilation
wave

Pick of the Day: Love Culture.com

Tie Dye V-Neck Jumper $23.90
Lace Tube Maxi Dress $28.90
One Shoulder Tied Tunic $17.90
Rose Print Wide Leg Pants $27.90
Chain Frame Shoulder Bag $33.90
Peep Toe CutOut Heels $24.90
Leatherette Wedge Heel $26.90
If you haven't heard of or checked out LoveCulture.com yet I strongly urge you to. It's another great source for fashionable clothing at reasonable prices. These are just a few things I picked out, but there are a lot more to go through on the site.

I have been serious trying to hunt down a pair of flowy long pants. I think I found them in the rose print ones above. If I purchase them it will take some decision making on how short to hem them. Will I wear them with flats the most, or heels. If heels, which ones the 3" or 5". It stinks that I always have to do some tailoring. I envy all the long legged amazons that I've come across in my life. A case of "the grass is always greener on the other side".

I haven't been into tie-dye for years. I think because of all the bright colors that we usually see it done in. What I have been loving lately are the tie-dye clothing done in dark shades or even the reverse tie-dye using bleach. I recently acquired a maxi dress that used the latter process. I'm falling for the jumper above.

The other items I have picked are things that I would totally rock this season. The tunic would be a dress to wear out on those occasions that the day party turns into warm summer nights. I'm always on the look out for a big shoulder tote and I love this one in white. The chain detail, toughens it out. What do you think of the perforated shoes? I think they're cute, but would leave you with funky tan lines on your feet. I would diffidently wear them indoors. I don't own a pair of black wedges and I love the idea I can wear these day or night.

Agh, why do I come across things that I want so often? Last night Adam called me a shopaholic because he took a peek on my side of the closet. I'm in love with beautiful things and as long as I can make a home for them I will. That reminds me, since I'll be home most of the week I should go through my closet and weed it out. I do it every season, and now it's long over due. That would be a good post to do, a little before and after.
