New Craft & Book

I just received my new Bram Stoker's Dracula in the post. Super excited, as I have loved all versions of the story in films. Now I get to enjoy it with my imagination wild at work. I have been trying to keep up on the classic novels being re-released by Penguin publishers in this beautiful cloth bound way. If you want to see the rest of my collection you may see them here and here.

Secretly (o.k. maybe not so secretly) I have been dying for a natural stone ring. As crafty as I am, I do say so myself. I own everything I needed all ready. So today I put together a natural agate ring. It turned out so pretty, I was thinking of making one for each of the moms in my life.

  1. You are crafty! That is such a pretty ring. And I've got some classics that have been sitting on my bookcase but I haven't yet gotten around to them. One day soon, hopefully. Happy reading!

  2. Thank you Ashley Rae. I'm so in love with it, the ring turned out better than I hoped. That's right, you are a reader too. What was the last book you picked up? I'm running out of room and thinking about a Kindle or something. I'm actually behind in my reading. There's just not enough hours in the day. Thanks for commenting and I hope you had a good day.

  3. Pretty ring! My husband and I are rock hounds but he's the only one that collects them by the bucketful. :) I keep hounding him to at least make pretty jewelry out of it so I can wear it. Hee hee.

  7. Jenn of The Suburb Experiment- I know what you mean. I would consider myself a rock hound also, not just that but seashells too. It's hard to pass up on something that mother nature has perfected. When I'm out in the desert I try not to pick up softball size quartz. Adam is always complaining that I'm weighing down his buggy w/the heavy load. What's funny is that he comes home from work w/ pieces of his own because he thought they looked pretty. Silly man. He even bought me a rock tumbler. Geez that thing is loud (:
I <3 looking at people's collections and hearing the stories of how they acquired them. Thanks Jenn for the comment always like hearing from you.

  8. Jessy- Awe, thanks. Yea, I'm really excited to start reading the novel. I like the idea that at the root of the story it's romantic. When I finish it I'll do a little review to share my thoughts.
